In Hogwarts Legacy, acquiring powerful combat plants like the Chinese Chomping Cabbage is essential for controlling tough battlefields. Whether you are looking to purchase fully grown plants, buy seeds for farming, or complete specific side quests, knowing where to go saves time and effort. This guide provides a straightforward walkthrough on locating vendors, securing cabbages, and finishing related quest objectives efficiently.

Where to Purchase Chinese Chomping Cabbage and Seeds

The primary vendor for purchasing Chinese Chomping Cabbages and their seeds is Dogweed and Deathcap, located just north of Hogsmeade. Individual cabbages can be bought for 300 Galleons each, while seed packets cost 600 Galleons. Buying seeds allows players to grow an infinite supply at a potting station in the Room of Requirement.

Alternatively, players can visit traveling merchants like Leopold Babcocke to buy fully grown cabbages directly while exploring. However, growing your own cabbages remains the most cost-effective long-term strategy.

Starting the Kidnapped Cabbage Quest

To begin the quest associated with these plants, head to the Brocburrow hamlet in Hogwarts Valley. Speak with the local merchant, Eddie Thistlewood, who asks for help retrieving lost shipments of cabbages. He explains that two crates were intercepted by enemies on their way to Feldcroft.

Accepting the quest marks the first bandit camp location on your map. Securing these crates requires stealth or combat, depending on your preferred playstyle.

Locating the Missing Cabbage Crates

The first crate is located in a poacher camp towards the southwestern section of Hogwarts Valley. You can clear out the poachers or use the Disillusionment spell to sneak in and loot the crate on the eastern side of the camp. Once retrieved, your map objective updates to point toward the second camp.

The second crate is found in a camp southeast of Feldcroft, heavily guarded by Ranrok's Loyalists. Search near the eastern side of the tent to collect the remaining cabbages.

Delivering the Goods and Claiming Rewards

After collecting both crates, head directly into Feldcroft Hamlet. Find Bernard Ndiaye, Eddie Thistlewood's colleague, and hand over the missing cabbages. Completing the delivery concludes the quest and grants experience alongside gold rewards.

Maximizing Combat Efficiency with Cabbages

Chinese Chomping Cabbages auto-target nearby foes and inflict substantial continuous damage. Equipping gear with the Herbology III trait significantly boosts their overall offensive output. Additionally, taking the Fertiliser talent generates a free extra cabbage whenever one is deployed in battle.
